The Woodworker's Studio
is a small, family-owned and operated business ~a traditional wood shop founded on true craftsmanship and hard work. Since 2001, when our doors opened in the Lehigh Valley, we have been serving our clients with custom woodworking solutions, from kitchen cabinets to that unique table that just cannot be found in any store. We take great pride in providing personal attention, quality design and a final product that brings our clients' visions to life. We are not restricted to standard stock sizes, and are not intimidated by challenging spaces. Since all projects are individually built, we are able to accommodate wood choices and any height, width and depth requirements. We provide an endless palette of colors, stains and finishes, and architectural details. We welcome all projects, large or small, from new construction and additions to remodels or restorations.
Master carpenter, George Hochstadt, brings over 30 years of woodworking and building experience into every project. George began his career as a carpenter's apprentice, learning invaluable, old-fashioned skills and techniques from his mentors. Subsequently, he managed a framing business and custom cabinet shop in Venice, CA, creating cabinets and furniture for architects and interior designers, including Michael Payne of HGTV's "Designing for the Sexes" fame. Prior to opening his shop in Bethlehem, PA, George was site supervisor for two high-end residential communities in North Hills and the Hamptons, Long Island, NY. A true artisan, George extends his creativity, passion and devotion to each item that he works on. His artistic and creative accomplishments include guitar playing, song-writing, and canvas painting.
